Dikenali sebagai JVR Self Heal Tyre, inovasi Profesor Madya Dr. Raa Khimi Shuib ini menggunakan teknologi getah sembuh sendiri. Itulah teknologi yang sedang dibangunkan oleh penyelidik Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) menerusi inovasi JVR Self Heal Tyre. Tayar motosikal berasaskan getah sembuh sendiri ini merupakan hasil penyelidikan Profesor Madya Dr. Raa Khimi Shuib. Menariknya, teknologi tersebut telah berjaya menjalani sesi pandu uji ekstrem selama dua jam di Horizon Beranang Circuit bersama pelumba profesional negara. Kejayaan ujian itu menjadi perkembangan penting dalam usaha menghasilkan tayar yang lebih selamat dan mampu mengurangkan risiko kebocoran ketika menunggang.<\/p><h3><span class=\"s1\"><b>Teknologi Diilhamkan Daripada Keupayaan Semula Jadi Pokok Getah<\/b><\/span><\/h3><p class=\"p2\">Keunikan JVR Self Heal Tyre terletak pada penggunaan teknologi <span class=\"s1\"><i>self-healing rubber<\/i><\/span> yang diinspirasikan daripada mekanisme semula jadi pokok getah tempatan. Teknologi tersebut digabungkan dengan kaedah moden bagi menghasilkan tayar yang berupaya menutup kebocoran tertentu tanpa memerlukan tampalan secara manual. Projek ini turut menerima dana penyelidikan dan pembangunan sebanyak RM3 juta daripada Kementerian Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi (MOSTI), selain kerjasama industri serta Majlis Getah Malaysia (MRC). Pada September lalu, USM juga telah membuka peluang kepada warga universiti untuk menyertai ujian lapangan sebagai sebahagian daripada usaha menambah baik teknologi tersebut.<\/p><h3><span class=\"s1\"><b>Pernah Menang Anugerah, Kini Berpotensi Tembusi Pasaran Global<\/b><\/span><\/h3><p class=\"p2\">Sebelum berjaya diuji di litar lumba, inovasi JVR Self Heal Tyre sudah mencuri perhatian apabila merangkul anugerah utama pertandingan Tech Planter 2024. Projek tersebut turut diumumkan sebagai pemenang minggu keempat program Innovathon Musim Kedua. Dengan kejayaan ujian terbaharu ini, teknologi berkenaan dilihat mempunyai potensi untuk dikomersialkan dan diperkenalkan ke pasaran antarabangsa. Malah, inovasi tersebut juga berupaya membuka peluang baharu kepada industri getah Malaysia. Bagaimanapun, harga jualan, tarikh pelancaran dan tahap keberkesanan terhadap pelbagai jenis kerosakan tayar masih belum diperincikan. Buat masa ini, kejayaan ujian tersebut menjadi satu lagi pencapaian membanggakan penyelidik tempatan.<\/p><h2><span class=\"s1\"><b>SOALAN LAZIM<\/b><\/span><\/h2><p class=\"p2\"><b>1. Apakah JVR Self Heal Tyre?<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p3\">JVR Self Heal Tyre ialah teknologi tayar motosikal yang dibangunkan oleh penyelidik USM menggunakan getah sembuh sendiri bagi membantu menutup kebocoran tertentu.<\/p><p class=\"p2\"><b>2.
