Buah epal bukan sahaja kaya nutrisi, tetapi juga baik untuk kulit dan kesihatan tubuh secara keseluruhan. Dengan kandungan tinggi serat, antioksida, dan vitamin C, epal menjadi kegemaran tidak hanya di kalangan dewasa tetapi juga kanak-kanak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Menurut laporan kajian kesihatan dari Amerika Syarikat, sebiji epal hijau mengandungi 14 gram karbohidrat manakala epal merah mengandungi 15 gram karbohidrat. Kelebihan tekstur ranggup dan rasa manis membuat epal menjadi pilihan yang menyegarkan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bagi ibu bapa yang mempunyai anak-anak yang menghadapi masalah asma, Dr Mazliana Mazlan menyarankan untuk memasukkan epal dalam pemakanan anak-anak. Epal dianggap sebagai makanan sebenar yang baik untuk kesihatan anak-anak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Khususnya bagi anak-anak yang mengidap asma, Dr Mazliana menggalakkan untuk memberikan mereka sekurang-kurangnya sebiji epal sehari. Amalan ini dijangka dapat mengurangkan risiko serangan asma yang lebih teruk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kandungan flavonoid dalam epal diketahui dapat meningkatkan fungsi paru-paru anak-anak. Apabila paru-paru berfungsi dengan baik, risiko serangan asma berkurangan dan keparahan penyakit ini dapat dikawal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selain itu, kajian juga menyatakan bahawa ibu mengandung yang mengambil empat biji epal seminggu dapat mengurangkan risiko asma pada anak yang dikandung sebanyak 37 peratus. Oleh itu, jika terdapat sejarah masalah alahan dalam keluarga seperti asma, ekzema, resdung, atau psoriasis, mengamalkan epal semasa mengandung dapat membantu mengurangkan risiko alahan yang diwarisi kepada anak-anak.
